Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Rio Ferdinand is desperate for a Premier League club to snap up Zlatan Ibrahimovic and bring him to England this summer. The 34-year-old will be leaving Paris St Germain after letting his contract expire and a whole host of clubs have been linked with him including Man United.

Separate reports from France on Monday say Zlatan has been offered a one-year deal by United with the option to extend it by another. This is coming from Mohamed Bouhafsi, the journalist who first broke the story of Anthony Martial‘s move to United.

Former Liverpool midfielder Jamie Redknapp believes Marcus Rashford could have limited first-team opportunities if Jose Mourinho is appointed as the successor to Louis van Gaal this summer. The Englishman has quickly burst onto the scene at Old Trafford since his debut against FC Midtjylland in February and has scored seven goals in 16 appearances.

Man United scouts were present at Sporting Lisbon’s 4-0 win over Braga last week to watch Joao Mario, according to A Bola. The club have reportedly turned their attentions to Mario after seeing their prime target, Benfica’s Renato Sanches, agree a deal to move to Bayern Munich in the summer.

ESPN pundit Taylor Twellman claims Ibrahimovic will not sign for MLS side LA Galaxy next season. The Swede will leave PSG this summer and LA Galaxy, along with United, are said to be among a number of teams interested in his signature.
