Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

The father of Everton’s Romelu Lukaku, Roger, believes Bayern Munich or Manchester United are among the “most suitable” clubs for his son to move to this summer. Lukaku has enjoyed a fine campaign at Everton this term, scoring 25 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions.

Peter Schmeichel believes Paris St-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic was born to play for Man United. Ibrahimovic has scored 154 goals in 179 games for Laurent Blanc’s side but has confirmed he’ll be leaving at the end of the season and has said his goodbyes to supporters over the weekend after four years with the Ligue 1 champions.

Real Madrid must make a move for David de Gea by June 15 or risk paying far more than his £39m release clause, according to AS. De Gea was the subject of a lengthy transfer saga last summer amid strong interest from Madrid but a deal collapsed on the final day of the Spanish transfer window due to late paperwork.

Portuguese midfielder Deco claims Jose Mourinho is the perfect man to become Man United manager. Deco worked under Mourinho during his reign at Porto and won the Champions League in 2004 whilst they were still both starting their careers as a player and manager.
