Manchester United left-back Luke Shaw is now training with the ball as he continues recovering from his horrific leg break injury.
Louis van Gaal ruled out the 20-year-old’s involvement in this weekend’s FA Cup final clash with Crystal Palace and claimed Shaw would be back next season as he didn’t want to take any risks, but he is clearly approaching full fitness.
The photos released by United show Shaw working with Marcel Bout, who is a member of van Gaal’s coaching staff and his chief opposition scout.
It’s a good step in the Englishman’s rehabilitation and it shows he’s making plenty of progress as he’s working with coaches rather than medical staff in hopes of rebuilding his fitness.

It will be disappointing not to see him on the pitch again this campaign, but United are absolutely right not to take any risks on his fitness.
He’ll have two more months to recover and return as a stronger player, even though he’s had his heart set on playing before the end of the season.
I can’t wait to have him back in action and hitting the ground running next term is what he should be focused on.
