Jose Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes set for final Man United talks this week

Jose Mourinho‘s agent Jorge Mendes will fly over to Manchester on Tuesday to complete a deal for the Portuguese boss to replace Louis van Gaal next season.

The former Chelsea manager has been constantly linked with a move to Old Trafford and is widely expected to take over within the next few days.

United have made an official statement on the situation, but the Dutchman left the team hotel on Sunday and told a reporter ‘It’s over‘ which indicates he knows his time is up.

Failing to qualify for the Champions League thwarted Mourinho’s plans, he now looks on the path to receive the dream job he was overlooked for in 2013.

Mourinho’s links with United was no secret, but reports emerged just hours after our victory at Wembley. United have won the FA Cup for the first time since 2004 and van Gaal deserved to celebrate without having to face questions surrounding his future.

It was a night to remember at Wembley, but United have been abysmal for the majority of the season, there hasn’t been any progress and failing to qualify for the Champions League looks to be the final nail in van Gaal’s coffin.

Jose is expected to sign a three-year deal at Old Trafford and the negotiations are expected to be straight forward with both Mourinho and United wanting the deal to be complete.
