Manchester United fans were unhappy with Marcos Rojo‘s display in their side’s 2-1 win over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final on Saturday.
The Argentinian’s inclusion in the squad for the final at the expense of Cameron Borthwick-Jackson was widely criticised, and his erratic performance compounded his recent slump in form.
Supporters didn’t hesitate in their criticism of Rojo:
Rojo has been such a liability!!! #MUFC

Rojo is not exactly a great loss change him anyway.

The 26-year-old’s ineptitude didn’t stem from a lack of power or drive; rather, it was the edgy, dangerously unpredictable nature of his performance that caused concern.
In occasions of this magnitude, some players lose their composure, and that turbulence can run through to the rest of the side.
Such was the case with Rojo, who resembled something of a time-bomb in a fast paced encounter. The Argentinian will need to rediscover his defensive pomp if he is to remain at the club upon Jose Mourinho‘s imminent arrival.
