Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Jose Mourinho has been officially announced as Manchester United’s new manager. The Portuguese manager has signed a three-year deal with an option to extend to 2020. Louis van Gaal was sacked on Monday and after a few days of intense negotiation and Man United have finally confirmed Mourinho’s arrival.

Former Arsenal striker Thierry Henry has urged Mourinho to sign Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Man United. The Swedish striker is out of a contract with Paris Saint-Germain and will be leaving after a spectacular four-year stay with the French champions.

Memphis Depay has admitted that he has been ‘pissed off’ with his first season at Old Trafford. The Dutchman suffered a mixed campaign under van Gaal this term and has often found himself dropped to the substitute’s bench. In a video posted on his official Twitter account, Memphis offered a frank assessment of his season.

Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher is confident Mourinho will win regular silverware as United manager given his track record at Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan and Real Madrid. The 20-time English champions ended a three-year trophy drought last weekend as van Gaal won the FA Cup thanks to a 2-1 extra-time victory over Crystal Palace at Wembley.
