Manchester United youngster Timothy Fosu-Mensah is set to follow team-mates Marcus Rashford and Cameron Borthwick-Jackson in being offered a new four-year contract to stay at Old Trafford, according to Voetbal International.
Fosu-Mensah, 18, enjoyed a breakthrough season under Louis van Gaal during the 2015/16 campaign, starting four matches and making five further appearances from the substitute’s bench.
Man United recently tied down Borthwick-Jackson and Rashford to long-term deals and the club wants Fosu-Mensah to follow suit.
The Dutchman will reportedly be paid around £20,000-a-week, which is just short of the value of the contract Rashford signed this week.
Fosu-Mensah grabbed his opportunities with both hands last season, putting in excellent performances against the likes of West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.
His pace, power and technical ability made him stand out despite his tender age and it will be exciting to see how new United boss Jose Mourinho plans to incorporate him into the side in the coming season.
