Manchester United’s Anthony Martial looked to be focused on the task at hand as he trained with the French national side this week ahead of the European Championships this summer.
Martial missed France’s recent friendly against Cameroon after he picked up a knock but is now back among the action and training.
The news will come as a relief to France boss Didier Deschamps as Martial was in superb form for Man United during the 2015/16 season. Martial made sure he got stuck in as he prepares for the Euros on home soil:
Martial had been dismissed before he had even kicked a ball for United after the club chose to pay Monaco an initial £36m for his services last summer but the forward has subsequently blown all expectations of him out of the water.
The 20-year-old was consistently United’s most dangerous and effective player over the course of the campaign, scoring 17 goals in total as his pace and tricky terrorised opponents.
Martial will now be looking to make an impact at the Euros – France are favourites to win the competition – before returning to United and making an impression on new boss Jose Mourinho.
