Anthony Martial has been voted by Manchester United fans as the club’s Player of the Month for May.
Martial scored three goals during the month, one against Leicester City and two against West Ham United, and he played a key role as Man United secured a 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace at Wembley to win the FA Cup.
The accolade caps off a superb debut season for Martial, who scored 17 goals in total over the course of the 2015/16 campaign. Fans recognised his efforts by naming him as their Player of the Month:

Martial was United’s most dangerous and effective player last season and it is fitting that he ends the campaign with the honour.
Labelled as a ‘waste of money’ when United decided to pay Monaco an initial £36m for his services last summer, the Frenchman had been dismissed before he had even kicked a ball for the club.
But a memorable debut goal against Liverpool set the tone for a remarkable campaign in which Martial firmly established himself as one of the most promising young players in the world. Van Gaal was rightly sacked by United last week but he deserves credit for placing his faith in the 20-year-old.
