Manchester United’s Morgan Schneiderlin has been called up to France’s squad for the European Championships this summer following Lassana Diarra’s injury.
Diarra has been ruled out of the competition after he picked up a knee injury. The news came after Raphael Varane had already pulled out due to a thigh complaint.
Schneiderlin had sent a message to fans this week saying that he would work hard during his time off over the summer but he will now be packing his bags and getting ready to compete at the Euros:

Schneiderlin suffered a mixed campaign at Man United during the 2015/16 season.
The midfielder put in some excellent performances at times but a lack of consistency meant that Louis van Gaal often left him out of the side.
But, sometimes, all you need is a bit of luck and Schneiderlin will be grateful that he has been given the opportunity to represent his country at the Euros on home soil. He will also be aware that new boss Jose Mourinho will be keeping an eye on him.
