Manchester United have scheduled Wayne Rooney’s testimonial to be played against Everton on August 3rd at Old Trafford, according to The Times’ Paul Hirst.
The game, which comes four days before the Community Shield clash against Leicester City, will be Mourinho’s first home match in charge:

Rooney has been with United since moving from Everton in 2004 and it will be nice to see him recognised for his loyal service to the club over the years.
The 30-year-old has sometimes divided opinion with his performances and gone through unsuccessful transfer sagas which have tarnished his reputation slightly but, more often than not, Rooney’s class has always shone through.
Rooney had been playing in midfield towards the end of the 2015/16 season but it is unclear whether Mourinho will keep him there in the future. It will be one of many questions that Mourinho has to answer but it is certainly an exciting time to be a supporter of the club.
