Manchester United have sold out season tickets for next season following Jose Mourinho’s appointment as manager, according to reports.
The club had to put back the renewal date to June 1 as many fans hesitated on renewing while Louis van Gaal was still in charge.
With Jose Mourinho’s announcement, many supporters snapped up season tickets for the 2016-17 campaign at Old Trafford.
Season ticket sales were at a record low last season, mainly due to the boring football Man United were playing under the Dutchman.
There’s here’s no doubt Mourinho’s presence at the touchline will make United well worth watching next season. His sides may not play the most attractive football at times but he knows how to win games, his lowest goal season record total (64) is higher than van Gaal’s highest goal season record total (62).
United will have a busy time in the transfer window ahead of them with a proposed move for Zlatan Ibrahimovic said to be in the works. There’s no doubt the Portuguese boss will bring in some world-class talent to help raise entertainment levels at United.
Mourinho has been hated by clubs as a result of his touchline antics whether it’s gloating at Barcelona after Inter won, his infamous touchline sprint, or even shushing Liverpool fans. I’m sure the next season will be full of drama.
