Eric Bailly has said it is a dream come true to join Manchester United and can’t wait to work under Jose Mourinho.
The 22-year-old defender becomes Mourinho’s first signing as Man United manager and brings some real strength to our team at centre-back.
Speaking to ManUtd.com about his move, Bailly said: “It is a dream come true to be joining Manchester United. To play football at the highest level is all I have ever wanted to do.
“I want to progress to be the best that I can be and I believe working with Jose Mourinho will help me develop in the right way and at the right club. I am looking forward to meeting my new team-mates and to starting this new chapter of my life.”

Happy days. Bailly is clearly delighted to be making the move to Man United and we’re delighted to have him. Daley Blind did a job last year at centre-back but we needed a new leader at the back and we’ve got it in Bailly.
I haven’t watched much of Bailly but having talked to plenty of Spanish football followers who’ve watched Eric with a close eye, it sounds like we’ve got an excellent prospect on our hands. Welcome Eric.
