Eric Bailly has sent his first message on his official Twitter account after being confirmed as a Manchester United player on Wednesday afternoon.
The 22-year-old is over the moon after completing the move from Spanish side Villareal and Man United are equally as delighted at him joining.
Writing on his official Twitter account, Bailly said: “Hello, @ManUtd. ? It’s a dream come true to be a new Red Devil. ? / Merci seigneur pour tous… ??”

The signing of Bailly and the manner in which it happened bodes well for United this summer. It has only been four days since the Bailly rumours started out of nowhere and the deal is already completed and over the line. That’s the sort of negotiations you want to see from United, discreet and decisive.
It’s also excellent to see a clear gap in our squad filled so quickly by Jose Mourinho. By signing him on June 8, Eric becomes the earliest summer signing we’ve made in the last three years, 18 days sooner than when Louis van Gaal signed Ander Herrera.
Sir Alex Ferguson always used to do that – swift signings early in the window which left us watching the deadline day drama unfold in front of us rather than be in the thick of it. Hopefully Mourinho will complete all of his business quickly because it’d be a refreshing change and one which shows United are capable of getting our deals done without complications.
