Jose Mourinho has revealed that he is hard at work with Manchester United’s pre-season preparations ahead of next season.
Mourinho sealed the capture of Eric Bailly from Villarreal on Wednesday on a four-year deal, subject to a work permit.
The Ivorian is expected to be the first of a host of new arrivals at Man United as Mourinho looks to turn his squad into Premier League title challengers next season. Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Valencia’s Andre Gomes have also been linked with moves to the club. Mourinho seems to have plenty on his plate as he prepares for the coming campaign:
Louis van Gaal left United last month with the mood surrounding Old Trafford distinctly doom and gloom and Mourinho’s arrival has injected some optimism into the club.
The former Real Madrid and Chelsea boss has been there and done it in terms of winning trophies and he will accept nothing less than the best from his new players.
United fans have put up with mediocrity for too long and it will be good to see a winning mentality back at Old Trafford.
