Manchester United are considering making a move for Wolfsburg’s Julian Draxler, according to reports.
Draxler is reportedly unwilling to see out the five-year deal he signed upon joining Wolfsburg from Schalke last August and he would be open to leaving this summer.
The uncertainty surrounding the German’s future is said to have alerted Jose Mourinho and the Man United boss is now weighing up a move.
However, Wolfsburg would want a large transfer fee for the player, who is currently with the Germany squad competing at Euro 2016.
Draxler is a quality player and he would be a fine addition to the squad if United were to make a move for him.
It appears as if Mourinho is identifying options to strengthen the wide areas of the team, with FC Basel’s Breel Embolo and Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan also strongly linked with switches to Old Trafford.
United will want to make several additions to the squad this summer but it is likely that there won’t be any concrete activity until after the Euros finish.
