Jose Mourinho‘s former colleague Aitor Karanka believes the Manchester United coach is the best in world football.
The Middlesbrough manager worked with Mourinho at Real Madrid and the Spaniard described their time together as an experience money can’t buy.
Karanka will meet Mourinho’s United in the Premier League next season as his club are competing in the League for the first time in seven years after finishing second in the Championship last season.
Speaking about Mourinho, he insists he learned the value for honesty and what was better for the team after working with the Portuguese boss.
“With Mourinho I learned the value of honesty; the need to explain what was best for the team,” he said.
“Sometimes coaches tell you what you want to hear but over time you realise that it’s not real.
“With him I learned to say what you thought for the good of the team.”
Mourinho has won silverware at every club he’s managed and has a big task on his hands at Old Trafford as he looks to restore Untied back to their glory days.
He’s the best man for the job and there’s no doubt he will make the club worth watching again after disappointing performances under Louis van Gaal and David Moyes.
It’s an exciting time for fans and it will be good to see him install a winning mentality back at the club, his reputation took a hit after a poor start at Chelsea but he has everything in place to become very successful at United.
