Luke Shaw has stepped up his rehabilitation ahead of Manchester United players returning for pre-season training next week.
He has not played since he broke his leg during Man United’s Champions League defeat at PSV Eindhoven in September but returned to training in April.
Shaw was initially set to return in the FA Cup final but was ruled out of contention a week before Man United’s 2-1 victory over Crystal Palace.
The 20-year-old tweeted a picture of himself at a training ground and informed his followers he’s been building up his match fitness for the pre-season.

With six players on the squad capable of playing left-back he faces competition for a starting spot, but judging by his performances last season he’ll have no problems settling back in and could even feature against Borussia Dortmund in Shanghai.
Mourinho previously described Shaw as a ‘fantastic player’ and will be looking forward to having his services on the pitch at Old Trafford, his presence has been missed and hopes are his return could reignite the impressive linkup performances we’ve previously seen from Memphis Depay.
With him back at his best on the left hand side, there is so much to look forward to next season at United. Instead of jetting off on holiday, he worked incredibly hard last summer and went to Dubai with a United coach to fit in extra work before he rejoined the rest of the squad for the pre-season and there’s no doubt a player with his mentality will return even stronger.
