Manchester United are expected to officially announce the signing of Borussia Dortmund midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan next week, according to reports.
Mkhitaryan was a key player for Dortmund last term and they wanted to keep him at the Westfalenstadion for the remaining year on his contract but has almost completed his a move to Old Trafford after both clubs agreed a €42.5m fee.
The Bundesliga Players’ Player of the Season agreed personal terms with Man United after talks with his representatives and could even feature against Dortmund in our first game of the pre-season tour in China on the 22 July.
Mourinho appears to have landed his transfer target and will join Zlatan Ibrahimovic in a medical next week before they officially confirm their transfers.
He slots perfectly into our team and his arrival immediately plugs another hold on our side, Juan Mata and Jesse Lingard were often deployed as a right-winger and although they did well at times, Mkhitaryan would provide a real attacking threat in his natural position.
It’s a great deal for United and it’s brilliant to see Mourinho closing deals early this summer, he’s already acquired Eric Bailly and will want Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic signed as soon as possible.
