Rio Ferdinand believes Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a brilliant signing for Manchester United after the Swede officially announced he will be at Old Trafford next season.
The 34-year-old has been heavily linked to a reunion with Jose Mourinho and has announced the move on his Instagram page on Thursday afternoon.
Reports suggest he has not signed a deal yet and will undergo a medical later in the week before an official announcement is made.
Speaking about Ibrahimovic, Ferdinand insists he has all the attributes to succeed at Man United.
He has scored 392 goals in 677 games and last season was his most prolific, with 50 goals in 51 matches, which was a record for the French club.
Ibrahimovic had earlier said he had many options for next season, including a return to Italy, but the opportunity of working with Mourinho has lured him to Old Trafford.
He played under the Portuguese boss at Inter Milan in 2008-09, helping them win the Serie A title, before joining Barcelona. Zlatan described Mourinho as a manager he was willing to die for in his book so it’s an exciting time at Old Trafford next season.
