France forward Anthony Martial scored a brilliant goal in training as he prepares for this weekend’s Euro 2016 quarter-final clash with Iceland.
The 20-year-old scored an overhead kick in training at Clairefontaine yesterday and will be hoping his eye-catching finish helps convince Didier Deschamps to give him some game time.
He hasn’t played much of a role for France at the European Championship, he’s only played 58 minutes and hasn’t been involved in any of their goals.
But it looks like he’s trying his best to get himself into contention for the Iceland fixture on Sunday.

He couldn’t have had a better debut season in England, but he hasn’t been able to replicate his form in France after falling behind the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Dimitri Payet and Kingsley Coman in the pecking order.
Martial will be disappointed he hasn’t been able to make more of an impact for his country and his new goal will show French boss Deschamps he can rely on Martial if necessary.
He scored 17 goals for United last season, even though he featured on the wings for the majority of the campaign. Martial played in a rigid attacking structure under Louis van Gaal but was still able to become one of our most influential attacking players and for that reason I can’t wait to see him under Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford.
