Borussia Dortmund forward Henrikh Mkhitaryan is landing in Manchester today ahead of his transfer to Manchester United.
Manchester Evening News claim a flight from Dortmund will be arriving at Manchester Airport’s private terminal at 3.30pm as the Armenian looks to finalise his Old Trafford move.
Man United all but confirmed his arrival when they accidentally released Mkhitaryan’s name on the back of our new away kit on the official online United Direct store before they were quickly taken down on Thursday night.
He has been strongly linked with the club for a number of weeks but should finally be announced very soon as he looks to complete his deal in Manchester today.
Mkhitaryan was a key player for Dortmund last term and even though they wanted him to see out the remaining year on his contract it looks like Mourinho has lured him away from the Westfalenstadion.
He agreed personal terms after talks with his agent Mino Raiola and could even feature against Dortmund in our first game of the pre-season tour in China on the 22 July as the club look to wrap up his deal early.
He’ll be joining Ibrahimovic at Carrington as they both enter the final stages of their deals and will be joining Mourinho’s first signing Eric Bailly at Old Trafford this summer.
