Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Everton are trying to convince Juan Mata to join Ronald Koeman at Goodison Park, according to reports. The Spanish international is said to be aware he has no future at Manchester United under new manager Jose Mourinho.

The father-in-law of Mexican winger Hirving Lozano has said a deal for him to join Man United is all done and will be announced after the Olympics in August. The 20-year-old has been scouted by Man United’s chief scout Jim Lawlor this summer and approaches were made at the start of June.

Barcelona are on the lookout for a wing back and have targeted Matteo Darmian as a top target, according to reports. Spanish newspaper Mundo Deportivo claim the Nou Camp club need a wide man, Darmian leads the list, and is joined by AC Milan’s Mattia De Sciglio, Borussia Monchengladbach’s Fabian Johnson and Bayer Leverkusen’s Wendell.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic insists Ligue 1 was not at the level of his talent. His arrival pointed critics to the fact that he scored plenty of goals, but in the Ligue 1 which is not known to be the toughest league, now he has the opportunity to prove himself in the biggest league in the world.
