The club announced the signing of Ibrahimovic last week and officially unveiled Mourinho to the media on Tuesday morning.
Martial hasn’t been given much playing time on Didier Deschamps’ side with the likes of Paul Pogba and Dimitri Payet impressing, but he could play against Germany in the semi-fianl on Thursday.
Speaking about the deals, Martial was full of praise for his new manager and Old Trafford team-mate.
“Jose Mourinho is a good coach,” he said.
“He’s one of the best in the world and Zlatan Ibrahimovic is a great striker and will improve us at Manchester United.”
Martial was in spectacular form during his debut season at Man United, but he hasn’t been able to prove himself on the French team team.
It’s the complete opposite to his position at Old Trafford, he hasn’t been involved in any of their goals and hasn’t been able to get himself any play time, while he was considered undroppable on Louis van Gaal‘s side last campaign.
There’s no doubt he will be relishing the opportunity to play under Mourinho and learn from one of the best strikers in the world. Martial will play a vital role for the Portuguese boss next season and will link up with the likes of Mkhitaryan and Ibrahimovic to try and get the club back to their former glory days.
