Luke Shaw has given Manchester United fans an optimistic update on his recovery as he prepares for the pre-season.
The Englishman was back in training with the first-team on time as he returns from a double-leg break in the Champions League fixture against PSV Eindhoven last year.
He enjoyed a spectacular start to last season and could make his comeback in the pre-season fixture vs Wigan under Jose Mourinho next week.
Shaw seemed very optimistic about his chances of featuring next week and took to his Twitter account to update fans.
Good first training session back with the boys today! Feels so good to be back! Bedtimee now. Night peeps ✌????️

He’s been very determined to make his return to full-fitness and posted a picture of himself at Man United’s Carrington training complex last week claiming he was building up for the pre-season.
Shaw returned to training in April, focusing on his stamina, but joined his team-mates for ball-work training drills in May. His rehabilitation has gone extremely well and it looks like he could finally feature any week now.
Louis van Gaal tried to fill Shaw’s place in defence last season, but his presence on the side hasn’t been matched and the squad haven’t been quite the same since he was left sidelined. Hopes are his return will reignite the flame in Memphis Depay that we saw early last season as they formed a wonderful partnership down the left hand side.
