Blaise Matuidi refused to discuss reports linking him with a move to Manchester United as he prepares for France’s Euro 2016 final fixture against Portugal on Sunday night.

The Paris Saint-Germain midfielder had been continuously linked with a move to Man United as reports last week suggested he had flown to England for talks over an Old Trafford.

There had been increased speculation with Jose Mourinho‘s arrival at Man United, but Matuidi insists he only wants think about helping his country win the European Championship.

“I am French before everything. It is not the time for that question. I am 100 per cent for the Euro and concentrating on it,” he said.

“I am living in an exceptional moment that perhaps we will not live again in our lives. I am living it very proudly.

“I am still under contract with PSG.”

He has been a mainstay of Didier Deschamps’ midfield during the competition and recently helped France to a convincing 2-0 win over world champions Germany in Marseille.

Mourinho has been linked with plenty of players as he conducts his overhaul at the club and Matuidi was reportedly on the list to join Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly at Old Trafford.

United were last linked with a move for Matuidi under David Moyes, but with players excited to play under Mourinho at Old Trafford, a move for the Frenchman could be possible as he has already proven he can attract world-class talent without offering Champions League football.
