Man United travel on July 19 for their pre-season tour of China, so if Neville is indeed correct then Zlatan will not travel with the squad but that would come as quite a surprise.
The date with Salford City is the third pre-season game for United’s U21s and if Zlatan does stay in Manchester then it may well be a managerial move from Jose Mourinho in order to let him rest and recuperate as much as possible after taking part in Euro 2016.

Neville is of course a co-owner of Salford City and the two teams played out an exciting 3-3 draw last summer but there would certainly be a bigger crowd this time around if it’s the first time Zlatan turns out in a United shirt.
I can’t wait to see how Zlatan gets on for United next year. Last season he scored 50 goals for Paris St Germain and if he even gets half of that it will be an excellent return. With the players we’ve got in our squad, he’ll definitely get enough chances to.
