Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Oxford United have confirmed the signing of Joe Rothwell from Manchester United on a two-year deal. The 21-year-old midfielder suffered a cruel few years in Man United’s academy as a spout of injuries and illnesses made it impossible for him to regularly hold a place in Warren Joyce’s U21s side.

Juan Mata, Marcos Rojo, Daley Blind and Bastian Schweinsteiger are all set to be sold by Jose Mourinho this summer, according to Duncan Castles. Mourinho, who joined the club last month, has already started to shape his squad, acquiring the services of Eric Bailly, Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Former Man United captain Roy Keane has supported the club’s decision to break the world transfer record in an attempt to sign Paul Pogba, citing his potential as one of the main factors behind his astronomical fee. Man United offered Juventus a sum of around £100m last week for the French midfielder, who is expected to make a decision over his future next week.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic is already working hard ahead of his first season as a Man United player. The Swede arrived at Old Trafford earlier this month, signing a one-year contract with the club, before taking some well earned time off after leading his country at Euro 2016. However, with the pre-season starting in earnest next week, Ibrahimovic is already preparing for his next challenge.
