Luke Shaw has handed Jose Mourinho‘s squad a huge boost by finally making his long-awaited comeback to the Manchester United squad.

The left-back suffered a horrific leg break injury against PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League 10 months ago and has been working on his rehabilitation since.

The Englishman worked overtime at Carrington with training coaches in order to make sure he was match fir for the start of the pre-season.

After stepping us his recovery in recent works, it looks like he could even be set to feature against Wigan Athletic over the weekend.

It took 10 days after his leg break for Shaw to start putting weight on his leg, he began non-contact training with the Under 21s back in May and has been consistently hitting the gym while others were on holiday to prime himself for Mourinho’s squad.

Shaw had to prove himself to Louis van Gaal last season after the Dutchman deemed him as overweight, his hard work in the gym heavily impressed and it resulted in his best start to the season yet.

He could be part of Mourinho’s squad at the DW stadium on July 16 and there’s no doubt he’ll be looking for some vital minutes as he hopes to ease himself back into the game.
