Before the game, Mourinho said it would be more difficult for Bailly to settle at Man United because of the language barrier as he doesn’t speak English but for me he played very well.
Wigan offered very little going forward but when they did he was there. Something that impressed me as well as was his overall footwork, it’s clear the La Liga style of playing out of the back has crafted Bailly into a ball-playing centre-back which is good for United.

He’ll be happy with how he played on his debut for sure. Next up for Eric is going to be plenty of English lessons and our trip to China will help him bond with his team-mates which is going to be crucial for him to feel settled before we face Bournemouth to kick off the Premier League season.
