Jose Mourinho has posted a video of himself heading to the airport as his Manchester United side embark on their pre-season tour.
The 53-year-old, earlier today, announced the 25-man squad that will face Borussia Dortmund and Manchester City whilst in China, before facing Galatasaray in Sweden.
His side’s pre-season endeavours begun brightly with a 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic last Saturday at the DW Stadium.
However, the real test is yet to come, and the Portuguese is keen stamp his authority as Man United boss early on whilst in China.
This upcoming pre-season tour will provide supporters with an idea of how Mourinho’s side will shape up, along with some early impressions of who looks likely to prosper under the 53-year-old and who looks likely to be ostracised.
Indeed, the central theme behind pre-season is the way a team looks as a unit, where it is strong or weak, rather than simply results. Louis van Gaal‘s record in pre-season was outstanding, and we all know how that turned out. Three games in relatively alien conditions against top sides will provide a stern test for Mourinho’s system.
