Bailly started Man United’s pre-season curtain raiser away at Wigan Athletic last weekend but Jones was a substitute in the second half. Now, they’ll get the chance to start alongside each other.

If ever there was a make of break season for a player, this is surely it for Jones. A player with so much promise which still remains unfulfilled, the arrival of Mourinho gives Jones one last big chance to prove his worth as a United player as he’s got a clean slate again.
I’m not going to write Jones off yet because prior to the start of last season I would argue Chris Smalling was in a similar position and look what he managed to do. Jones will be using that as evidence that if he puts in the performances his work will pay off and United fans are hoping that will finally be the case.
As for Bailly, he looked supremely comfortable against Wigan and I’m looking forward to seeing how he squares up against tougher opponents in Dortmund. His pace will certainly come in handy against the likes of Aubameyang and Dembele who’ve been enjoying a strong pre-season so far with the German side.
