Paul Pogba ready to accept Manchester United’s £100m offer – report

by Leo Nieboer

Paul Pogba is ready to accept Manchester United’s world-record offer of £100m for his signature, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Man United tabled the offer earlier this month, staving off interest from Real Madrid in the process, and have been in talks with agent Mino Raiola for some time.

The 23-year-old left Old Trafford following a disagreement with Sir Alex Ferguson, leading to widespread dejection and surprise amongst players and fans at seeing such a talented player leave the club.

However, Romano has said Pogba is ready to accept the offer return to Old Trafford after four years with Juventus.

The image of Pogba holding aloft a United shirt once again is now tantalisingly close to becoming a reality, it seems. Mourinho and MUTV pundits alike are already acting as if Pogba is a United player, whilst numerous reports suggest the deal is done.

Not only will Pogba’s inclusion monumentally empower the strength and technical quality of United’s midfield, it will also invoke a hardline winning mentality in keeping with that of Mourinho and Zlatan Ibrahimovic. That aggressive, win-at-all-costs attitude is vital for mounting a title challenge, and Pogba’s inclusion only amplifies the United-esque aura of arrogance and superiority in the current squad.
