Luke Shaw was pictured working hard in training ahead of Manchester United’s pre-season match with Borussia Dortmund on Friday.
The 21-year-old, after 10 months on the sidelines, made his long awaited comeback in a Man United shirt last Saturday in the 2-0 win over Wigan Athletic.
United will face Dortmund and Manchester City during their eight day visit to China, before heading off to Sweden for a friendly against Galatasaray.
Shaw, in what was United’s first training session in Shanghai after landing earlier today, cut a concentrated figure as he looks to continue his recovery to full fitness.
The standout moment of United’s first pre-season match was the reception Shaw received from the 7,000 travelling supporters after touching the ball for the first time. Following a tumultuous 10 months for the youngster, one can only imagine how it felt to be out there again.
On his first game back, Shaw instantly looked assured and energetic, making constant advances up the left hand side and mopping up with ease at the back. The game against Dortmund serves as another wonderful opportunity for the youngster to step up his recovery and hopefully recapture the form that saw him emerge as United’s best player in the early stages of the 2015/16 campaign.
