Paul Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has insisted he does not care about breaking record transfer fees as Manchester United talks continue.
Raiola also represents Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, who have both completed their moves to Old Trafford this summer.
He is said to be set for a £18.4 million cut should the deal go through, but reiterated he only wants what is best for his client.
“The newspapers say that Pogba could break the record but I have already broken records with Ibrahimovic and [Pavel] Nedved,” he said.
“I want what’s best for my players and so that also includes Pogba.
“Has Pogba asked to leave Juventus? I won’t answer anyone and I don’t talk about my business. Certain things I only discuss with my clients and they know how things really stand.”
It’s a staggering amount to pay for one player, but Pogba is only 23, he is already world-class and will only improve as he gets older and picks up more experience.
Man United have already completed deals for Mkhitaryan, Ibrahimovic and Eric Bailly. Should a deal be reached, Mourinho would have underlined his intent to get the club back to their former glory days.
Pogba would inject an exceptional amount of talent into our midfield and the club will be looking to get the deal sorted to stop the summer transfer saga continuing.
