Manchester United have taken Curacao attacker Liandro Martis on trial at the club.
Martis, 20, was watched by Man United scouts when on trial at Oldham Athletic and he clearly did enough to earn himself an opportunity to impress United’s academy staff.
Nicky Butt has been hard at work bringing in youngsters like Tahith Chong to strengthen the lower levels and there is a push to bring in more players to Warren Joyce’s U21s set-up.
Following the departure of Ashley Fletcher to West Ham, there is space for a new attacker and Martis will be keen to fill that spot. He’s already been offered a deal by Oldham but with United and Leicester now on the radar, he’s waiting to find out about his options.
Here’s a goal he scored on trial at Oldham which certainly would have helped him earn his trial at United.
