They say Pogba arrived in ‘semi-underground’ conditions, was hidden away from the public and taken out of the backdoor before any photographs could be taken to ensure everything is kept secret until an official club announcement.
Pogba was due to fly back from holidays and reports this week suggested he would fly directly to Manchester rather than return to Italy. If Gazzetta are correct, that is exactly what has happened.
A photograph is all that is needed to confirm this 100% but unfortunately we are not going to get one. Seeing how this transfer has panned out in the last few weeks it wouldn’t surprise me if Pogba and his agent Mino Raiola tweeted a selfie in New York just to throw another curveball into the mix. Here’s hoping they don’t but it’s all become a bit ludicrous hasn’t it?
Gazzetta are confident an announcement is coming soon, let’s all hope they are right. That being said, unless Pogba arrived early on Saturday then Jose Mourinho would have already been on his way to London for the Community Shield game, so he wouldn’t be involved in any photographs. Anyway, we’ll see.
