Here is the latest Manchester United transfer news and gossip.

Juventus boss Massimiliano Allegri has dismissed talks of identifying a Paul Pogba replacement and said he expected the French midfielder to return to training tomorrow. Pogba’s holiday in USA ended on 6 August and Juventus are currently in London as a part of their pre-season, so now is the time where Pogba would usually re-join his team-mates.

Former Man United midfielder Nani has backed Jose Mourinho to make the club great again after fans have suffered disappointing tenures under Louis van Gaal and David Moyes. Mourinho took over from the Dutchman this summer and is heading into his first big test at the club in Sunday’s Community Shield clash with Leicester City.

Mourinho has confirmed he would have fought for Renato Sanches had he been appointed as Man United manager earlier. Reports suggested Louis van Gaal pulled out of the race for the 18-year-old Portuguese midfielder, but many believe the club were beaten to the signing and should have landed his services ahead of Bayern Munich.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists Zlatan Ibrahimovic has age against him at Man United this season. The Swede arrived at Old Trafford this summer and will be looking to build on his glowing array of titles in Ajax, Juventus, Inter Milan, Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
