Anthony Martial has been included in the Manchester United squad for Sunday’s Community Shield against Leicester City.
The Frenchman was not included in the 25-man squad pictured in training on Friday afternoon, leaving fans confused over his whereabouts.
Joe Riley was promoted to the senior squad for training to cover Martial’s absence, but he was pictured leaving Carrington with his team-mates ahead of their trip down to Wembley Stadium.
He was arguably Man United’s best outfield player last season and will undoubtedly play a vital role for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford this campaign.
The Frenchman also managed to score 17 goals under Louis van Gaal, despite being played on the wings for the majority of his debut season in England.
Martial only returned to training for pre-season last week after his extended holiday following his participation in Euro 2016, he featured against Galatasaray and Everton, but will be setting his eyes on winning some silverware against Leicester this weekend.
