Mourinho took over from the Dutchman this summer and is heading into his first big test at the club in Sunday’s Community Shield clash with Leicester City.
He has already completed the signings of Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Zlatan Ibrhaimovic and Eric Bailly, but the Portuguese boss has confirmed he isn’t done in the transfer market just yet.
Speaking about his impact, Nani claims Mourinho will help the club win titles.
“[Mourinho] said a long time ago his dream is to represent United so everyone was expecting one day he would become Manchester United’s coach,” he said.
“Now is that time so let’s see how he is going to do. He is an ambitious coach who always wants to win – 100 per cent he will prepare a team that will be much better than in the last years and will try and win titles.”
Mourinho has already stated he wants to forget the last three years at Old Trafford as they don’t represent the values of the club.
Hopes are his arrival at Old Trafford will help take us to the next level and he’s gone about it the perfect way by brining in his new talent.
He has everything in place to succeed at Man United and it’s an exciting time for supporters to see his new side in action after three years of stagnation at Old Trafford.
