Dwight Yorke believes Jose Mourinho has brought the fear factor back to Manchester United again.
Man United have finished seventh fourth and fifth in the Premier League in their past three seasons since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.
Speaking about his impact, Mourinho insists the club have finally got a big presence and character back in the changing room.
“After three years without winning the Premier League, the manager has come in and recognised where they needed to strengthen,” he said.
“Teams have turned up in the last few seasons and thought they can overturn United. I don’t think that will be the case now.
“We have got presence and character within the dressing room now and we have got big personality.
“It is something United always had within their ranks but it seemed to go away for the last couple of seasons. This year, teams will look and fear Man United.”
Mourinho has already won his first piece of silverware at the club with the Community Shield during his first competitive game in charge.
His new signings send out a clear message of his intent to win everything he possibly can during his time in the hotseat at Old Trafford.
It’ll be an extremely exciting season and fans will be looking forward to seeing his strongest XI in action against Bournemouth in the Premier League on August 14.
