Paul Pogba: I always kept in touch with my Man United team-mates

Paul Pogba has revealed he kept in touch with his former Manchester United team-mates while at Juventus.

The Frenchman participated in Man United’s 2011 Youth Cup victory along with Jesse Lingard , Sam Johnstone and Will Keane.

He signed a new contract with the Old Trafford club and was officially unveiled on Monday night after finalising his £89 million transfer.

Speaking about Lingard, Pogba reveals the pair have always been talking.

“Always we kept talking. I’ve just kept in touch with him,” he said.

“I’m very happy for him and what he’s doing, very proud of him, because he just keeps it up. I know he went on loan, he came back, he went on loan again, but it was just Jesse Lingard scoring goals, as always.

“So I’m very happy for him. I see Sam Johnstone too, and Will Keane and some other players who went away. We just keep in touch and I’m very happy for them.”

The bromance looks like it has already started, with Pogba and Lingard leaving just where they left off at Man United.

It’ll be great to see them both back in action on the first-team, especially after Lingard’s impressive breakthrough last season.

Their friendship has never gone unnoticed, they checked in on each other for a brief moment after France played England at Euro 2016 and will now have plenty of time to catch up at Old Trafford.
