The young duo both played for Man United this week in the Otten Cup as part of an U19s side but there had been no announcement until now.
Chong is an exciting Dutch winger from Feyenoord who a number of clubs were after but he chose to follow in the footsteps of Timothy Fosu-Mensah and move to Old Trafford. He got off to a great start by being named as the best attacker at the Otten Cup.
Bohui joins United from Brentford and the English striker has already played for England’s U17s so has some young international experience under his belt.
Strengthening United’s U18s has been a real focus for Nicky Butt who was brought in as our new Head of Academy last year and the addition of these two youngsters will go some way to improving our options at that level.
Having had the likes of Marcus Rashford, Cameron Borthwick-Jackson and Fosu-Mensah break through into the first-team last year, the importance of having the best youngsters from all around Europe is paramount so it’s excellent to see these two come in.
