McNair announced himself to Man United fans in September 2014 after impressing on his debut against West Ham United, and has gone on to make 27 appearances in a red shirt.
Love made his debut against Sunderland last season and produced a solid display, but failed to make another Premier League appearance for the rest of the season.
Both players are reportedly set to sign four year contracts with David Moyes’ side for a combined fee of £6m.
It will be a shame to see two undoubtedly talented youngsters depart the club, but as Jose Mourinho condenses his squad into a tight, integrated group capable of challenging for silverware, it is unlikely that the two will receive any first team football at Man United this season.
The chance of regular football at a Premier League club is something too good to pass up for McNair and Love, both aged 21. United fans will fondly remember McNair’s unexpected rise from relative anonymity to first team member in the space of a month under Louis van Gaal, whilst Love now has an excellent chance to kick on after making his Premier League debut last term.
