Luke Shaw was delighted with his Premier League return for Manchester United against Bournemouth on Sunday afternoon.
He made his comeback during Jose Mourinho‘s pre-season fixture against Wigan Athletic after being left sidelined for 10 months with a broken leg.
Louis van Gaal tried to fill the gap for the majority of last season and was unsuccessful so it’s great to finally have him back on the pitch.
Speaking after the Bournemouth victory, Shaw insists he was happy to play his first 90 minutes in the Premier League.
Great start. Nice to play my first 90 mins in the prem. But most important was the 3 points & the fans were unreal!! pic.twitter.com/LcY9FE2Yf4

With Shaw back to match-fitness it feels like Man United have invested in a new signing, his presence on the pitch has always been felt and it’s brilliant to see him still play such a vital role for Man United.
Some believed his injury would stop him reaching the impressive form he showed at the start of last season, but has picked up right where he left off.
He has been hard at work during the holiday to ensure he was in the best possible shape for the new season and it looks like all the extra hours have seriously paid off.
