The pair arrived at Old Trafford over the summer, wasting no time when in endearing themselves to Man United supporters.
Bailly has started in every game under Mourinho (including pre-season) since joining in June, demonstrating his superb power and speed in the process, whilst Pogba made an instant impact on his debut against Southampton last Friday.
Speaking with Manchester Evening News, Bailly was quick to shower praise on the world’s most expensive footballer.
“Paul is a exceptional guy and one of best in world and it is great to have him as a pal in dressing room,” added Bailly.
“It’s important that he is a happy person and that he shines out. It is an extra bonus for me to have him as a pal.”
He may have only played one game, but Pogba’s introduction into the fold has galvanised the entire club. The Frenchman’s debut was like something out of an art exhibition, drawing “oohs” and “aahs” with a series of astonishing pirouettes and spins. His immense marauding figure makes it seem as if there was no gap between defence and attack, such is the way he eats up ground so easily.
True talents don’t require a period of transition before hitting their stride; they impose themselves from the first minute. And that is exactly what Pogba against a bewildered Southampton last Friday.
