Manchester United fans were in awe of Henrikh Mkhitaryan’s display after coming on in their side’s 1-0 win over Hull City.
With Jose Mourinho’s side beginning to stagnate against an indomitable Hull defence, the Armenian was thrown into the fold and completely changed the complexion of the game, giving a near perfect attacking midfield performance.
Supporters were quick to laud the 27-year-old, with many calling for his inclusion in the first team against Manchester City on September 10.
Mkhitaryan though, what a silky mover, got to start the derby

The game changed for the better when Mkhitaryan and Rashford came on. Mkhitaryan *has* to start next week. No excuses.

That run from Mkhitaryan is what a No.10 should do. Rooney can't do that anymore.

If there were any doubts, they’re gone now: Mkhitaryan simply has to start games under Mourinho. As the rain tumbled down at the KC Stadium, last season’s Bundesliga Player of the Year served as a glorious beam of light.
Man United’s inability to force the issue primarily stemmed from Wayne Rooney‘s lack of speed and awareness in the No.10. With Mkhitaryan there, however, it was a competely different story: the 27-year-old floated around the pitch ominously, picking up the ball and finding space in places nobody else could see; his sheer drive and power on the ball was something Rooney simply couldn’t replicate.
Mkhitaryan, in just half an hour, demonstrated what it meant to be a No.10: agile, quick on the ball, precise in his passing, aware of what’s around him and full of guile. United fans will be desperate to see him start against Pep Guardiola’s side next time out.
