Manchester United defender Luke Shaw insists he is feeling the best he’s ever felt on the pitch.
Jose Mourinho‘s side continued their impressive start to the Premier League campaign with three wins from their first three fixtures.
He has made a spectacular return to the spotlight for Man United with some brilliant showings after being left sidelined for 10 months last season with a broken leg.
Speaking about the club’s performance, Shaw claims it was like the old days when Sir Alex Ferguson‘s side would pick up a smash-and-grab win.
“I think, emotion-wise, that was the best I’ve felt ever on a pitch,’ he said.
“I’m just so happy that we could get the three points, not just for us but for the fans. They were unbelievable.
“It was an unreal feeling and even a few of the lads in there (the dressing room) said it was like taking them back to the old days when they sometimes used to get those smash-and-grab wins. I loved it and hopefully there’s more to come.”
Shaw is also expected to be included in Sam Allardyce’s first England squad for next weekend’s World Cup qualifier in Slovakia.
His return to full-fitness has been excellent and hopes are he is able to continue his excellent form this season.
