Timothy Fosu-Mensah has joined up with the Netherlands U21s squad this week for international duty.
The 18-year-old returned to training with Manchester United last week after spending some time on the sidelines with injury and it’s good to see him head away with the Dutch team as it shows he is over his injury concerns.

Netherlands have a fixture against Belarus’ U21s side on 2 September and Fosu-Mensah will be hoping to feature. Danny Blind had previously called up Timothy to the senior side but he’ll have to work himself back in there with some strong performances for Man United this season.
We haven’t seen much of Fosu-Mensah so far under Jose Mourinho but he is expected to sign a new deal which is a real statement of intent of his future at the club and alongside Marcus Rashford he’s the youngster I’m most excited to see develop, so this year will be crucial for him.
Hopefully he can use the time away with the Netherlands squad to build up his fitness because with six games in 19 days at United in September there’ll be ample opportunity for him to get some game time.
