Manchester United players on international duty – where and when

by Leo Nieboer

Bastian Schweinsteiger will make his 121st and final appearance for Germany on Wednesday night against Finland after announcing his retirement from Die Mannschaft earlier this summer.

Wayne Rooney will captain the England side for their World Cup qualifier with Slovakia on Sunday, whilst Chris Smalling retains his place and Luke Shaw receives a well-deserved call-up after recovering from his injury.

Marouane Fellaini is set to miss out on facing fellow teammates David De Gea and Juan Mata after picking up a ‘bad’ back injury against Hull City on Saturday as Spain take on Belgium.
